Reflecting on this gospel this time brings new light...
I've asked God many times to grant me a certain grace I need to follow Him more closely etc (and He does listen!) but when it is coming about, I groan about how tough it is, forgetting it's what I had asked for. In such times, I hear Him saying, "Didn't you ask for...?" And then it dawns on me... once again, I don't know what I'm asking for!!
The 2nd and 3rd challenges are nothing new to me either!!
Am I alone in these? Have you also encountered these challenges before?
